In the ending, the main character chose to go home with the stranger for the second time. This time is different. The man doesn’t allow her to do whatever she wants to, instead he is demanding, and almost terrifying. She realizes that she is gagged and now also ‘cuffed on her ankles. Then he got dressed and went on his way. Afterwards we follow how the main character faces her own mortality.
Characterization:
The woman.
Curious, middle-class, courageous, explorer, lying, generous, kind of the story’s bad guy hero, short plum-colored dress. High heels, her darkest lipstick.
The man.
Orphan, lives on his own, and works nights in an old folks home. Very lonely. "red complexion, a gold chain dangling inside a Hawaiian print shirt, mud-coloured hair, leather jacket”. Maybe insane.
I believe that the names on the characters is not important, it is only a small detail. However, without this detail the story have a way to pull reader, into the plot and you may imagine, that you could be the character, or at least that it could happen to anyone, even yourself, if you ever get the same desire as the lead role in this story.
