Miljømæssig bæredygtighed: FN's verdensmål

Goals have to be global, because so are the problems. The biggest problem the world is facing is the environmental problems. ”And why is THAT the most important problem in the world?” do you ask, and I will answer with one simple argument: Because if this problem doesn’t get solved then we are done. Literally. We would not have any world to live in. So can we be aware that our planet for every day slowly is making its way to an end?

I don’t think so, and I don’t think we can afford to hesitate any more. Something radically needs to be done, and it has to be done globally. Because when we are talking about the environment, we are not talking about you and I, we are talking about us. We are one unit in this journey for reaching this goal, and by cooperating we can make it work.

But what is wrong and how can

we provide the results that are

needed? When it comes to the

problems there are loads. And

I’ve chosen to focus on the four

UN targets.

1) Lets start with overuse. Especially in the Western world, we have a too big consumption both when we’re talking about food, oil and other recourses. In fact the US releases about 4 times more CO2 of what every citizen in China release. But there are slowly entering environmentally friendly alternatives to all we now need in our western communities. We have electric cars, green sockets, and recycled paper. We have invented renewable energy sources such as windmills, solar power plants, and wave energy systems. These systems must become more widespread, and it must have the biggest priorities.
