How I met your Mother (Shortened HIMYM) is an American sitcom. It’s created by the show’s executive producer and writers, Craig Thomas and Carter Bays. How I met your Mother was inspired by their own friendship, when they both lived in New York. There are 8 seasons and the 9th and last season is under production. The show had premiere on 19th of September 2005 on the American tv-channel CBS. The series has won a lot of prices, including 9 Emmy Awards. The series follows the main character Ted Mosby and his friends on Manhattan. Ted, in the year 2030, tells his son and his daughter, the events that led to the meeting of their mother.

Cast

Josh Radnor plays the main character Ted Mosby. Ted Mosby is an architect and an architecture teacher. He moved to New York with his friends Marshall and Lily after graduating from college. Ted is on a quest for happiness and he wants to find his future wife. Lily and Marshall are Ted’s inspiration and motivation, to start his own family

Jason Segel as Marshall Eriksen is Ted’s best friend. Marshall is married to Lily and he has been in love with her since he started on college. Marshall’s dream is to be an environmental lawyer, but he couldn’t find a job, so he ends up working with Barney, at a job he hates.
