Bandekriminalitet og identitetsdannelse: analyse af 'This is England'

This project looks at crime violence, and look at which group psychological factors that has an influence on the identity formation. On the basis of that, there will be an analysis of Shane Meadows movie, “This is England (2006)” with a special focus on the movies description about the gang environments attractive to some people. Otherwise there will be an analysis and interpretation of the short story “The Somebody (1970)” by Danny Santiago. Last but not least, there will be a discussion about why some young people are particularly loyal to the group. In order to respond the assignment, there will be used the humanistic qualitative method for analysis and interpretation for the film and the short story. It is found that many factors can have an influence on the identity formation, and that some people get more attracted to the gang environment than other people.

Denne opgave vil være centreret omkring bandekriminalitet. Der vil være en redegørelse der bygger på teori omkring gruppepsykologiske faktorers indflydelse på identitetsdannelsen, gruppepsykologiske faktorers indflydelse på individet, og samtidig vil der redegøres for gruppens påvirkning på individet. Endvidere vil der være to analyser, en af novellen ”The Somebody” af Danny Santiago, og en af filmen ”This is England” af Shane Meadows. Sidst men ikke mindst vil der være en diskussion der bygger på hvorfor nogle unge er særligt loyale overfor gruppen, hvor noget af teorien fra redegørelsen vil blive brugt.
