'Divergent' bogresume og anmeldelse

The book Divergent is about, the 16 years old girl called Beatrice Prior. Beatrice Prior lives in Chicago. There are five factions in her district. Beatrice and her family are in the Amity (the peaceful). The “members” of her faction cannot look themselves in the mirror, or even care about their clothes or hair. The other factions are called: Abnegation (The Selfless), Erudite (The Intelligent), Dauntless (The Brave) and Candour (the honest).

When Beatrice gets 16 years old, she has to choose between the five factions. She had promised her family that she would choose the Amity. When she gets called into the room she notices that there are mirrors everywhere. The lady gives her something to drink, afterwards Beatrice fall asleep. In her dream, she sees a dog coming against her. She attacks the dog, and after that she is sitting in a bus. In the bus she comes in to a talk with a man. She runs away and then she wakes up. The lady walks against her and says she doesn’t belong in any of the faction. So she can only choose between the Amity, the Dauntless until she has chosen she is a Divergent. She cannot tell anybody that she is a Divergent. Her brother has chosen Erudite (the Intelligent). After many thoughts she choose Dauntless (the Brave). When she has to tell everybody what she has chosen, she sees her parents. They are staring at her. They are trying to smile, so that she doesn’t get nervous. Then she says that she has chosen Dauntless (the Brave). Her parents were shocked, when she said that she had chosen Dauntless (the Brave) She went away with her new faction.
