Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi shares the Nobel Peace Prize

India's Kailash Satyarthi and Pakistan's Malala Yousafzai received the Nobel Peace Prize 2014, by the chairman of the Nobel committee, Norway´s former Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland.

The Nobel Peace Prize 2014 was awarded jointly to Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.

The Nobel committee’s argument was that sixty percent of the population of the worlds most impoverished countries is below twenty-five years old. Recording to the committee the next generation of the poorest countries, dreams of being self-propelled and have the opportunities to promote education, this is a good helping hand.

The taliban attack survivor Malala Yousafzai became the youngest Nobel Winner as she and Kailash Satyarthi from India won the Nobel Peace Prize. They received it for working to protect children from slavery and child labor of great risk to their own lives. Malala Tousafzai has become a spokewoman for girls and their rights to education. She survived a 2012 assassination attempt by the Taliban and her campaign for liberty, freedom and democracy for all humans, is admired by people all over the world. She shares it with the Indian activist Kailash Satyarthi. He runs an organization that, among other works to stop child labor in the home country India. The Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize to two children's rights activists on the 25th anniversary of UN Children's Convention.
