What happened in the Mountains?

Pete was getting ready to visit Zoe when his phone rang. Two kids had been reported missing in the mountains. Pete took quickly his phone and texted Zoe. “Hi Zoe, I can’t come over this evening. Sudden call. Two kids are missing in the mountains. Pete.” Pete was looking at his phone. He was waiting for a message from Zoe. Bing bing sounded the phone. It was a message from Zoe. “Hi Pete, poor kids! I hope you ?nd them! Remember to update me. Zoe.” Pete quickly answered Zoe’s message. “Received! I also hope that I/ we ?nd the kids.” He ran into his house and packed a bag with most important things. Long lasting food, water, some ropes, a sleeping bag, a knife and so on. Pete was a man who worked for a company that ?nds people who is missing in the mountains, and he also taught people how to climb in the mountains. He was a very skilled climber. So he was always one of the ?rst that received a call, when somebody was missing. Now he was ready to go out, and ?nd the two missing kids. Pete thought it was a good ide to go to the top, so he could get a good view, which would take Pete 2-3 hours. Pete had to go to the top very fast, because it would get dark in about 4 hours. When he was at the top he could see 2 lightened houses near him, and yesterday there was no people in the houses. But it was getting dark, and Pete found his sleeping bag. The next morning Pete was ready to search for the two kids again. Pete thought that the kids were in one of the two houses. First he walked to the nearest house, which wasn’t far away, only about 1-2 hours. While he was walking, he began to thing about Zoe. She was Pete’s ex girlfriend and she had a very important message to him. Pete thought that maybe she was pregnant? But he decided not to think more about that for now. Now he could see the house. He could hear some kids screaming, and therefore he ran to the house, and kicked up the door. He saw the 2 missing kids. Pete was so happy that he found them. He found his phone in his bag and called the police. He told them were he found them and so on. After he talked with the policemen he texted Zoe, exactly as she told him to. “Hi Zoe, Relief. Found them. See you tomorrow. Pete.”
