Pete was getting ready to visit Zoe when his phone rang. Two kids had been reported missing in the mountains…

Pete knew all about mountains. That’s why he made his hobby in mountain climbing to a full time job, were he coached people in how to climb. Pete was shocked over the phone call. He knew the investigators needed him for the search. He was very useful. It only took him a second to text Zoe. ‘’Hi Zoe. Can’t come this evening. Sudden call. Two kids missing in the mountains. Pete’’ He send the text while praying that she still wanted to go on the date with him after the investigation. He almost jumped out of his suit, and took a practical outfit on for the search. Quickly he was standing at the foot of the mountain and talked with one of the investigators for the investigation. Many professional mountain climbers had shown up. They gathered a big group, and split it up in three teams. At first Pete thought that the kids would be easy to find, but as the sun went down, and the dark came on, he realized how difficult it was.

They searched all night, Pete refused to stop even though the mountain was hard to climb. He could not imagine how the kids got all the way up. The dark started to disappear and the sun shinned once again. Pete was fatigued and exhausted, but still he refused to stop. Some of the others started to abound finding the two kids. The mountain had many deep cracks where two kids easily could hide, but not big enough for adults. That just made it even harder. Pete looked at sky where he could see big grey skies. It was about to rain. They needed to move fast. The two kids would be freezing to death if they didn’t find them. Suddenly he remembered Zoe, and send he an update ‘’Hey Zoe. Been searching for two days now. Can’t give up. It’s getting dark. Pete’’ Zoe replied fast, and it motivated Pete. He wouldn’t stop before he found them. Pete knew it was now or never. The rain started pouring down, and made the mountain smooth and even harder to climb. Pete knew they needed to set up a campfire, to keep themselves warm. They made a quick tent camp and set up the fire.
