I think that the National Rifle Association (NRA) has some of the blame, for the School massacres, because they support the rights to carry arms. If a child has social issues in the school, and the child’s parents have a gun, it might be attractive, for some children, to bring the gun to school. I think it’s typical for U.S.A to have an association like NRA, it’s unnecessary to have a loaded 44 mm. magnum in your house. Their excuse for having a gun, is that it’s too dangerous not having one. I think that all the weapons, except for the hunters, should be banned. But it’s also the parents’ fault; the parents haven’t helped their kids. As a parent, you must be blind not to see if your child is going to make a massacre. If the child has social issues in the school, they could have sent them to some team sports, to get some friends and get their social issues worked out. Kids need attention from their parents; unfortunately, a lot of the parents don’t give their children attention. The parents could just sit down and talk to their children about the day in school. Maybe that will be enough. My opinion of the school shootings is, that they are mentally ill or mentally disturbed. You can’t be normal if you just walk into a school and start shooting at the other students or teachers. Afterwards when you get caught, they might just answer “I don’t like Mondays”. But it’s not all the school shooters who are mentally ill. It’s only 1/5 that have been diagnosed with a mental disorder. But most of the attackers had earlier tried to kill them self or have had wa depression. U.S.A got more than 11.000 gun murders each year comparing to their neighbor Canada, which have less than 100 gun murders each year. I think that it’s because Canada don’t have an association like NRA. Even John McCain, a candidate for U.S.A’s presidential election in 2008, is a member of NRA. He thinks, like most of the Americans, that it’s okay to carry arms and to have a loaded 44mm magnum in your house. It’s very difficult to ban all the guns in U.S.A if even the president candidate is a member of NRA. How can two 15 years old boys go down to the local gun-shop and by automatic weapon and bullets, and then afterwards go to their school and shoot 12 fellow students and teachers? – And how can a little eight-year-old kid, bring his parents gun to school and shoot a little girl? Because it’s legally to buy guns, but in California they have made a law, so if a child takes their parents gun and the gun isn’t locked up, it’s the parents who gets the punishment. These kids might have big social issues, and that leads unfortunately too these massacres. That’s my opinion.
