… Didn’t think that the two kids would survive but he wouldn’t say that to anybody. Pete sent a text to Zoe, “Hi Zoe. Can’t come this evening. Sudden call. Two kids missing in the mountains. Pete.” He quickly drove to the police station. There was a team briefing going on. He sat down on a chair and listened. When the briefing was over all the police officers drove to the mountains. They searched and searched but nobody could find them.

Pete was getting a little nervous now. Two days were gone now and they were still missing. Pete slept in the tent they installed at the mountains so he hadn’t seen Zoe in two days. He decided to text her, “Hi Zoe. Been searching for two days now. Can’t give up. It’s getting dark. Pete.” Zoe saw the text right away. She felt bad about the children who were missing but at the same time she was happy about her man being such a hero. He sat his whole life on pause and just went out looking for them.

Zoe thought that the children were dead. She turned on the TV to think about something else but the first thing she saw was the missing children’s parents. They described how the children looked and what their personalities was like. Zoe quickly turned the TV off. She just sat there looking at the blank screen while crying. She thought about how horrible it was to the children’s parents. Zoe tried to think about something else but she really just couldn’t.
