Summary

Goodbye Summer Blues is a story about a man called Steve who’s a detective. He needs money but there isn’t much to do in his city. One day a woman called Ann came to his office. She gave him a job. He should find a man called Mark Spate. Ann told Steve that Mark worked for Metro Rent-A-Car but now he was gone. She told him also that she was his sister and his job was to find him. A person called Suzy told Steve that Mark disappeared when he was on way to Mexico. Mark drove to Marks home and found a piece of paper where there said “Casa Droada, El Mayor”. Mark and Ann lent a car and drove to El Mayor in Mexico. Then they rented a cabin. In the cabin they found a card with the word “Coromandel”. They found Coromandel. It was a big boat. On the boat they found people that were smuggling diamonds and Ann took photographs of it. They drove back and after that day three men came to him. He woke up in a clinic in a bed. Mark was beside him. Dr. Summers who was one of the diamond smugglers gave Mark a drug. A nurse also gave Steve something o that he was helpless for two hours. One of Dr. Summers guys took Mark out in the middle of nowhere and tried to kill him. But them Ann came and saved his life. In the end of the book Steve and Ann saved Mark’s life and got Dr. Summers arrested. Ann told Steve that her real name was Jean and that she was Mark’s partner.
