We are all different, and have different relationships to our parents. When kids get older and older, their hormones change and that means, they are in a time of crisis and want to try and do everything. Most teenagers think their parents are stupid and don’t give permission to anything, they just always say “no”. I am sure that most teenagers love their parents, but just don’t show their feelings to them and still argue a lot with them. I think that the typical subjects are about parties, alcohol and dating. What the teenagers don’t understand is that the parents just are protecting their children. We can also quarrel over just a little thing. And then suddenly, the little thing becomes much bigger.
A lot of teenagers like to do stuff with their parents, like go out and shop together. Other teenagers are embarrassed, or maybe afraid of what their friends think about it.
Teenagers also need to be with their friends and be social. But it doesn’t mean that they can’t be with their parents too.
I think, I have a very good relationship with my parents. Of course, I get angry and irritated when they sometimes say “no”, but I understand that they say no for my own sake and that they want me the best. Me and my mom has a really good relationship to each other, because we understand each other’s. We are like best friends. We go out and shop together and have fun.
