Analyse af Russell Brands kommentar 'Big Brother isn't watching you'

There are two feelings. These feelings are feelings that human all over the world most deal with every day. Sometimes they feel like missing out on something specific, since the society aren’t giving these people theirs need of space, which prevents them to achieve success in the life. According to different views, they are saying that the developments from the government had culminated in 2011 august during a rioting in England. In the commentary “Big Brother isn’t watching you” posted on The Guardian, the English comedian, actor, musician, writer and Katy Perry’s husband, Russell Brand commentates on the rioter’s motivation for the 2011 UK riots.

Russell Brand lives currently in Los Angeles, but even though he still has strong connection to the country he was born in, which makes it naturally for him to react to the riots in the UK and even make it a problem for himself. The speech that he delivers has a very colourful language and is filled with sarcasm. He uses the sarcasm to point out his dissatisfaction with UK government. Russell Brand is astonished at the way the rioters are described with adjectives such as “mindless”, “However” and etc. These adjectives prove that Russell Brand could agree on the fact that riots are unacceptable, but the past cannot be changed.
