Plan for et sabbatår i New Zealand

I would really like to take a year trip to New Zealand to get a great experience.

I’ve just finished the gymnasium in Denmark and now I’m a little tired of school, so I would like to have a year in New Zealand, where I’m not supposed to go to school, but instead work for someone.

I don’t mind where in which part of New Zealand I’m going to live in, but it must be a city, and not far away from a city in some kind of country side. A place I really would like to work in could be a restaurant or a hotel that would be great because then I will try things in a type of business, which I won’t when I go back to Denmark to get an education, and I think that’ll be fun. In the catering industry I already do have some experience, as I’ve worked for McDonalds for a few years ago, I have experienced that the most important thing, is to always make the customers happy, and to make them feel like they’re right. But working in a “real” restaurant as a waiter or in a hotel, is something I really want to try. If that’s not a possibility I’m not really in for farm work, not because I don’t like animals, its more that nothing really happens at a farm. But I’ve heard that it’s possible to get a job as ski guide, and I could for sure spend some time with that. Most important for me is actually just to have a great year, and a decent place to eat and sleep
