The terror attack the 11 September, were executed by the terror group called al-Qaeda. In total there were 19 terrorists, who hijacked the four planes. The terrorists were in the ages 20-33 years old. All the terrorists had a connection to the al-Qaeda, and their leader Osama Bin Laden. The tactical leader of the terror attack, and the hijacker of Flight 11, was the 33 years old Mohammed Atta. Mohammed Atta died under his mission, but the investigators found some documents in his baggage, which contained the names of all 19 hijackers, and a lot of other useful information about their motive and backgrounds.
Of the 19 terrorists, 15 of them were citizens of Saudi Arabia, two were from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt and one from Lebanon.
The idea of the attack came up by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in 1996. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed presented his ideas to Osama Bin Laden as the very first. At this time (1996) Osama and the al-Qaeda were just moved from Sudan to Afghanistan. In December 1998, the director of ”Central Intelligence” reported that Al-Qaeda were preparing an attack on the United states, and in his report there was also written that Al-Qaeda were educating the terrorists in flying airplanes.
