Første uge på high school i New Orleans

Hope all’s well. Here is the email that I promised you right before I left.

I have just finished the first week at my new school here in New Orleans. It is absolutely an amazing high school and all the people here are so nice. I really like this place, but I miss Denmark, and all my friend there.

I really think, the school community is much better here than in Denmark. Everyone takes care of each other and respect the school, teachers and all the other students. I had got at new friend called [NAVN C], she is so sweet. She helped me with my homework and introduce me the rules in the school.

Every day we must wear school uniforms. I didn’t like the idea in the start, because I thought it looked ridiculous and I was the only one. But then I realized, that we all looked the same. Now I really like the uniform, and think it look nice. The uniform is black (my favorite color) and red.

I like the teachers here. They are always happy and prepared to the lessons. I can feel that they want to be there actually and teach us. I am grateful for the opportunity, that I got to move to the USA. Even in our Spanish lessons, I have had fun. Some of the subjects is very weird for me, because I never have had them before. An example is Psychology. I didn’t know what it was before my first class. But I really like it! The teacher is very kind and funny. She is an older woman, but I already like here.
