Kanye Omari West was born on June 18, 1977 in Georgia, Atlanta, USA. In 1987 Kanye west, and his mom moved to China for a year, because his mom had got a job as an English teacher in China. His dad was a photograph for models and actors so he had to stay in the united states. When they came back to USA, they moved to Chicago, dropout Illinois, USA. Kanye west was actually very good in school, but instead he chose to be a college when he was 17, so he could start as telemarketer. Kanye West began rapping when he was in third grade. In seventh grade, he learned that if he was going to be a rapper, he had to have something to rap over, so he started making beats. Quickly he also started selling beats to other people and small companies. The first beat, Kanye West sold, was devoted to the Chicago rapper Gravity for $8,800 in 1996. Shortly after he started to deliver beats to other well-known rappers, like “Jermaine Dupris”.
Kanye west is now one of the most famous rappers in the whole world, he is worth 36 million dollars and in 2014, Kanye placed as the 20’th wealthiest celebrity on the Forbes list. But on February the 15 and wrote a tweet on twitter writing “I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt, please pray we overcome... This is my true heart...” Some people mean that by writing that, he was asking some of his friends for money, but he wasn’t. Now Kanye is doing very well, he has paid all of his debt by getting help from his family
