All the factories were just closing and it was now knocking-off time, as we called it. I sat at my desk when the big flute rang. When the flute rang, it was a symbol of that we officially could leave the factory. I packed my stuff as fast as possible. I knew I was late. I actually knew that I was very late, and she hated when I was late.

I ran down of the stairs and out on the street. I needed to catch that damned bus. Sadly, I came to late… The bus was already gone. I took my briefcase up in the hand and ran down the street. I needed to be quick if I would avoid being late. Then the worst thing in the world happened… It began to rain. And it rained a lot. I don’t think, that I ever have witnessed that much rain at the same time.

Even though it rained I continued to run. I knew the next bus stop would be just around the corner. I arrived at the stop just as the bus arrived. I entered the bus and it took off. Now it all seemed to go smoothly.

Inside the bus I sat next to another man. He didn’t look as stressful as I was. He just sat there with his briefcase that looked exactly like mine. We talked a little bit together, but it was mostly some awkward Smalltalk we had between us. Out of nowhere the bus stopped, and the driver said that we had some engine problems that couldn’t be fixed at this moment.“Good dammit” I shouted. I took my briefcase and walked over to the door. Just before I walked out of the door an old woman gave me her umbrella.
