Why is obesity an interesting and important subject? Obesity is very important to talk about and stay focused about because it is actually a really big problem all over the world. Especially in the western world because we have much more money than the rest of the world and it makes us being able to eat more and eat more unhealthy food. It is important because it has consequences for the entire world. It makes it very interesting because it is a part of an everyday, and a lot of people are dealing with it. I want to talk about obesity generally, what causes obesity, something about the consequences and what you can do if you are obese. What is obesity? When we talk about obesity, we talk about obese people, people who are overweight. Obesity is based on BMI (Body Mass Index). And that’s about how much you weight compared to your height. So you can see on a scale if you are overweight if you weight too much compared to your height. Everyone is able to take a test on the internet to find out if their BMI is normally but it doesn't give you the exactly answer because it doesn't say anything about how old you are and that has a lot to do with the answer it gives you.
