John Lennon was a man made to set his place in history, setting the foundation of modern music and still being listened to by millions monthly. Out of all the Beatles he, in my opinion had the most interesting – and possibly frustrating – solo career.
It was only 6 years after the movie ended that John Lennon left the group. However, he went on to create some new singles with his wife Yoko Ono that he married in 1969, she was a Japanese avant-garde artist and he changed his name to John Ono Lennon. Together they made some political and experimental songs.
The band that he once was in, he had now let go off, and he took a new change of life. He started taking part in hippie movements and fights for peace, he also went on to write his most popular song “imagine” portraying a dreamy and naïve hope for the world to change.
It was the 8th of December 1980 when a fan shot him, he had just exited his vehicle and his wife had walked past the shooter, and after her John Lennon, not until John passed did Chapman – the shooter – go in position and fire five bullets, four of then hitting and killing him.
