I have now been in Australia for two weeks, and I must say, that it has been the time of my life. I have experienced so much, I don’t even know where to begin. We started in Sidney, where my friends and I stayed at the “Pullman Quay Sydney Harbour Hotel”. I highly recommend this hotel, they have the absolute greatest view, you can literally see Sydney Harbour Bridge from the windows.
Since we arrived at night, we didn’t get to see much that day. But the next morning we woke up early to go see the Sydney Opera House, that was designed by the dane Jørn Utzon. The house is unusually beautiful, it’s so different and special. We had bought tickets to an Opera called Madama Butterfly, which is a heartbreakingly romantic love story about a Japanese Geisha who marries a US sailor, only to be abandoned by him. I have never seen an opera before, but I regret not going earlier. We only stayed in Sydney for a couple of days, but we experienced so much. We visited the popular Bondi Beach, where i got a few surfing lessons. I am not saying that i’m a professional surfer now, but I am. We also went to Taronga Zoo, did you know that they have over 350 different species? I am amazed! we bought something called “animal encounters”, which gave us the opportunity to get really close to the animals. I fed a giraffe and I holded a koala, something i will never forget.
