Opgave 1 CouchSurfing

Trip to Australia

I have just returned home from a great holiday in Sydney, Australia. I went on trying something new this time. One of my friends recommended CouchSurfing. When he talked about it, I knew it would be something for me. It is a new way of travelling. Its cheap, and you get to meet a lot of local people. And hear about things you wouldn’t normally. I lived with 2 lovely people, called john and Susan. They wanted to be a host, because they could, meet new people. Sydney is the biggest city in Australia, but not the capital as many thinks. Í could really see it was the biggest city in Australia, with loads of people and buildings almost, touching the clouds. We went on seeing the opera house. I didn’t know a lot about the opera house. Only that it has been designed by a Danish Architect, named Jørn Utzon. The whole time I had John, and Susan with me. And that was great, I really enjoyed it, and it seemed like they did to. Although the couch I was sleeping on was hard like rocks. When we were done eating dinner, we always just staying up late talking about the difference, between Denmark and Australia. And there were a lot. First, Australia is a much bigger country. But also, between the citizens. In Australia they are so sweet and kind. Don’t get me wrong, the people in Denmark are also great. But the way they are living and talking to each other is just amazing. Even if you are a stranger, you could still end up talking. And I think that is something us Danes could learn. The spiders and the animals they have in Australia, is really a big difference. You might not think it is. But it really is. They always check under the pillows, and around their beds if there are any spiders. I really find it gross, that the spiders can grow that big. John, Susan and I also went on seeing the great barrier reef. There was a very long way, so we had to fly. We were only there for 1 day, so we had to get up early, and leave late. But it was worth all the money and time. It’s a thing that everyone deserves to see. It’s beautiful.
