In the video clip “Driverless car no longer science fiction” CBS news reports that self-driving cars are no longer a science fiction based concept, but a technology that is becoming an everyday reality. In the beginning, we see the news reporter Terrell Brown going for a ride in one of the first fully autonomous vehicles, which was made by a team of engineers over a period of 5 years. Then afterwards one of the engineers behind the vehicle shows Terrell Brown, all the technological functions this car possess. Terrell Brown indicate, in the video that he is really amazed about the driverless-car, and how it is reacting to everything around it. The video then shows how the car reacts to all kind of signs, stoplights and other moving cars around it. Next we are told about all the hidden technologies this car is operated with. One of the engineers behind the car, is showing all the hidden lasers, cameras and radars the car includes, in addition to that the engineer explains so that the car have a 360-degree view. Afterwards Terrell Brown talks about how these self-driving cars are expected to become a norm, and a report shows that it is expected that the global vehicle market will in 2035 be 75 percent self-driving cars. Terrell Brown concludes that in this 45 minute drive the car did not make one single mistake.
