San Francisco is a wonderful city, which is beautifully located at San Francisco Bay. Many of the city's streets are incredibly steep, so you must be a good driver to drive safely around in the hilly city. The San Franciscan are very proud of having “The srookedest street in the world”. For many years has the old tram been the big tourist attraction. You simply haven’t been in San Francisco if you have not taken a trip with the Cable Car. Another must when you are in San Francisco, are to visit the prison on Alcatraz, it is small island in the bay. The prison got closed by Attorney General Robert Kennedy in the 60s, and the buildings doesn’t look enjoyable. But the view from the prison to the golden gate bridge to the west and to San Francisco south is unique. In 1906 the city experienced a massive earthquake, which immediately started a terrible fire. Many of the beautifully painted wooden houses burned to the ground. But since then, the San Franciscans have rebuilt the city boldly, and recently they have begun to build gigantic tall skyscrapers. San Francisco can´t pride themselves of any quite as high as sears tower in Chicago and New York´s world trade center.
