… They were full blood Americans like me. It was a brother and a sister. They came from Boston like me and were on their way home. I asked them why they then talked in another language than English. They gently answered, that they both were born here in the USA, but their parents were not. They were born in the southern of France. They did not look like Americans, so I was almost sure that they were tourists. Stupid me.
I then asked them where they had been, and what they had been doing. They said that they had been visiting their grandparents who still lives in France. They said that they owned a huge castle because of their successful company, were they sold wine to the whole Europe. I was very amazed by their background and needed to know why they then moved to USA, since they had ‘the dream house’ in France.
They moved because of their parents dream of opening a diner in the USA. The dream came true, and they opened the diner in the state Minnesota, right before they gave birth to Daniel. Daniel was the big brother to Monica, who was the little sister. They told me that the diner was doing so great and had got so many customers, that their mother needed to help the diner out, even though she was 8 months pregnant. She helped in about a month, but then needed to take a break, because of Daniel.
