Det er en kort analyse af cinderella man, jeg bruger en stor del af opgaven på at beskrive den store depression.

Cinderella man is produced 23 may 2005 in U.S.A. by Ron Howard. some of the mayn character are Russell Crowe (Jimmy), Renée Zellweger (May), Paul Giamatti (Joe), Craig Bierko (Max). In the beginning of the story are we in the upper class, but then the character breaks his hand, the story changes to middle class society. But the middle class was very poor under the great depression. In the middle class they need to split a slice of meat and refill the almost empty milk bottle with water to make it to last longer. An example on a effekt are in the start of the movie, where you see Jim in his house then he takes his watch of and puts it on a table there then we see that the table are full of jewels and money. Then the scenes change and we see a table four years later were all the stof are gone. The story takes place in New york during the Great depression, in 1930. But to really understand how it was back then, I must explain what the big desperation was. People bought a lot of shares just before the depression, but then it dawned on people that they just had bid them up, and that in fact they wasn't so much worth. So all of the people panicked, shares plummeted and even those who did not invested in shares lost all their money. Because that happened then even those who had money stopped using them, so if you owned a butcher store, you would lose a lot of your money because people will buy a quarter of salami instead of a ham roast. Then USA wouldn’t buy any bacon from Denmark and that lead to Denmark didn’t buy any cars from Germany and then Germany didn’t want to buy wine from France and the domino effect started. But the story starts in 1929 there James J. Braddock a wealthy man, to support his family he is boxing. But under the Great Depression, James J. Braddock breaks his hand, and no one will hire him. Several years after his last fight, Braddock's old manager, Joe, wants him to be a last-minute fighter against the second-ranked world contender. He surprises everyone and wins the fight. James is back, and starts to win all his fights, but he shall fight the champion, Max Baer, for the title. Max Baer had already killed two men in the ring, and everybody thinks James will be the next. But Braddock wins and become the champion. The most important part of the storyline are then he is offered the job position as stand-in boxer against the second-ranked world contender another important scene is then James are winning the boxing match against Max Baer. The conflict is that Jimmy want to fight, but his hand keeps breaking because he don't give it time to heal, that means that he can't win his fights. One of the messages in the movie is that you never should give up even do it's hard
