The Show or rather the episode is about multiple people’s stories which connect in a type of way. First off, we have a girl called Mylene, who is a young girl who sings in a choir which her father is the pastor of. A friend of the family named Francisco, arranges for a music producer to come to the church and hear Mylene sing. Since she has a beautiful voice.
Then we have Fat Annie who is owner of a local disco in the Bronx, she can offer jobs to different people for a lot of cash, but its dirty work. So decent people usually avoids it.
The last story is about Ezekiel who is writing songs and rhymes, and his friends. We also know that Ezekiel has had a relationship with Mylene through a longer extended period. Therefore, connecting their stories together. One of Ezekiel’s friends is Shaolin Fantastic, he is trying to learn from the master and maybe also the creator of hip-hop Grandmaster flash. He wants to play records like he does and are trying hard to learn it. Later their “hideout” is burned down which also makes them in need to get money for new equipment and records. So, SF wants to work for Fat Annie, so he can get the money quickly. Connecting their stories together. But Ezekiel don’t want to do that.
