Criminal Minds: 'Outfoxed' episode resumé

Criminal minds season 5 episode 8 is called Outfoxed and tells the story of a killer and their crimes.

The Downey family was killed in their home during the night, the same way that another family,

the Williams family was killed just a year prior. Both families’ fathers were serving overseas in the

military, wedding rings were missing in both cases, and they were killed the same way. The

detectives try to find a way to solve the crime, by finding similarities.

Four years prior to this event, Karl Arnold, aka The Fox, killed eight families, and took wedding

rings for trophies. The two agents Aaron Hotchner and Emily Prentiss, go to visit Karl, to see if he

can help the investigation any further. They talk to him and take him to the crime scene, where he

starts talking about how the killer might be. He helps the agents realize how they can catch the

killer, by searching for how the killer targets the families.

One of the investigators, Garcia, finds a similarity between all the photos from the families. They

were all uploaded to a user web site called Photobug, that many military families use. They figure

out that the people working for this company, might use the platform to target the families,
