Game of Thrones is a story about a war between 3 different “houses”. They are all fighting for the same throne that is why the story is called “Game of Thrones”. In the first episode we meet the persons in Winterfell, which is one of the 3 ”houses” in the story. We also meet King’s Landing which also is one of the 3 “houses”, and the last “house” we meet is called Pentos.
As I said the whole conflict in this story is the fight for the Throne. The way this fight comes out is through war and others use strategic thinking/manipulation or even marriage.
But there is also a conflict in each of the houses. In Winterfell the conflict is that Ned do not know if he wants to become king or just want to stay in his “place”.
The conflict in King’s landing is that the queen (Cerise) has sex with her twin (Jamie).
The conflict in Pentos is that the brother (Vieserys) wants to get his throne back and the sister (Daenerys) has to get married with Khal to get the throne back. But Daenerys do not want to get married, she just want to come home.
