Analytical Essay of the Pedestrian

If we take a closer look on the novel, the main theme in “The Pedestrian” is going against the norms in a future, suburban society where people have become slaves to society. The main character in the novel stands out to be a loner, who doesn’t follow the norms of the society. He lives in a setting which is a desolated inhuman city. The title also refers to the action in the text, because he walks for miles in the city.
