The short story "I see you never" (1947) is written by Ray Bradbury. It’s about a man, Mr. Ramirez, that have lived in the US for 30 months, even though he’s only allowed to stay there for 24 months. He has been living at Mrs. O’Brien’s rooming house. But when Mr. Ramirez comes to the house to pick up his things, Mrs. O’Brien and her children were sitting at the long table, eating dinner. Mrs. O’Brien was shocked, and didn’t understand what had happened. Why he had two police officers standing beside him. But his temporary visa had ran out, and he had to go back to Mexico. As Mrs. O’Brien closed the door after him, and sat back down, she realized that she was never going to see Mr. Ramirez again.
Essay:
The first main character we get introduced to is Mrs. O’Brien. We meet her the first time when she opens the door after hearing a soft knock at the kitchen door. Mrs. O’Brien owns a rooming house, the rooming house Mr. Ramirez lives at. There she lived together with her three sons and two daughters. I think Mrs. O’Brien is about 50 years old, because she has that many children, so she must be old. I don’t think she’s way to old because she has to run the rooming house, and her children hasn’t moved out yet either. Mrs. O’Brien is a kindhearted and thoughtful women.
