Adventure engelsk

Posted by Morten Mortensen on 7th of February, 2018 at 13:45 Hey guys,  As some of you may know, I just came back from my school trip, and I can't wait to tell you guys about it! We went to an island called Zanzibar. I have never seen such a tropical, beautiful island before. Every single day, was there a new adventure in sight.  We met at Copenhagen airport 07:30 am, and were ready to go. We were allowed to have one luggage with us, beside our traveling bag. I had my big, pink suitcase with me. We came through security and went to the gate. I remember how nervous and excited I was, while boarding the plane. I had never been so far away from home before.  We got on the plane, and ?ew towards Zanzibar. As soon as I stepped out of the plane, I felt the heat. It was so hot! We found our luggage, and found the bus, which drove us to our resort. The bus ride was around an hour, and was so good. We all sang, laughed and smiled. I couldn't wait to spend four days with my amazing class.  The resort was also amazing. It had two pools, a giant buet and big rooms. I slept with two of my friends, Kathy and So?a. We couldn't wait to explore Zanzibar.  The next day we went visiting the old ‘The Slave Market’. It was interesting to learn about, but also a heavy, sad story about slavery. It aected everyone, so afterwards we headed back to the resort, played games and had fun. We stayed up late and watched horror movies every single night. The next two days, we volunteered at an orphanage and at a local school. It was weird seeing how poor people were. Not only at the orphanage and at the local school, but everywhere. People begged for money, had no food and were a lot poorer than people in Denmark. I can't imagine their world, with almost nothing. But what they had, was love and kindness. They were always smiling and laughing, even tho their circumstances. It was such an adventure seeing how life was on Zanzibar.  The last day, we went swimming with dolphins. I had never tried it before, and can only recommend it. Wauw! It's something, you'll never forget. The last day went fast, and before we knew it, the day was over. We packed our bags, and said goodbye.  On the plane home, everyone were tired and exhausted. It was an adventure we will never forget. I can only recommend Zanzibar. Seeing how they live, is an adventure for life.  Thanks for reading! Best regards,  Morten
