It was the fall of 2016 and I was on my way to Liverpool. It was a gift I got from my parents at my confirmation in the spring that year. I had been looking forward to this day for months and finally, it was happening. With me and my dad was two of our friends that we had been watching football with for years.
When we arrived in London, we got to the car that we’d rented and then we were on the road to Liverpool. It was a three-hour ride, but it was all worth it. At the hotel, we arrived around midnight.
The next day was the big day, I was finally here and ready to watch the team that I had been supporting since I was a little kid.
When we got to the stadium, I realized how big these football stadiums were in England compared to Denmark, I was so excited. We headed to the lounge where we had something to eat before the game. The food was great, but my mind was set on something else.
When I walked up the stairs, I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was the biggest and most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
