What is the ”only remaning home” that the voice, or speaker, is about to lose? Could be the heart or the inside feeling in the body.

What does the title refer to? The title refers to anorexia, which is a mental disease/ an eating disorder. It refers to a target weight she wants

In your own words, list everything we are told about the speaker´s physical condition? “Cheeks sunken and despaired” “So gorgeous sunk to six stone, her weight changes from 6 st to 4 st. (6,35 * 6 = 38,1 kg)” “Stomach collapsed at 5” “My visions getting blurred, but I can see my ribs and I feel fine”. You can see her ribs, her stomach is collapsing, hands are shaking, breats are sinking, her vision is getting blurred.

In what sense is she “an epiloque of youth” at the end of the song? That her weight is low as a child, I think

How do her parents try to help her? Her mother has tried to choke her with roast beef and other foods.

Analysis question

How does the songs suggest that weight issues are especially common among females?

9th stanza, line 12 “Legs bend, stockinged I am Twiggy”. It means that she compares herself to a model from 1960s or want to look like her, who was known for her thin and boy-looking body. We think, that the song suggests weight issues among females, because the models in our society are supposed to be thin and beautiful, and some females can think, it´s how they are supposed to look like. Stanza 8th line 6 “Kate and Kristin and Kit Kat” it says, that she craves food, but she needs to avoid it, because she wants to look like Kate and Kristin.
