I chose this topic the perfect image because I think it is a very big problem that I can relate to. I think it's a problem because you see so many nice girls with their perfect bodies and if you don't post a picture of yourself as perfect as your unconsciousness expects you to be. You will think you're not good enough.
People tend to imitate what they see or adjust their expectations of themselves based on what others do or how they look.
Social media can also have a positive impact by connecting you with others who help build a body-accepting community
Growing up with social media in this day and age is absolutely detrimental to one’s self-esteem and view of one’s own body. There are hundreds of influencers who are praised for having the perfect body when the chances are, it is completely edited. Which gives the impression that you can not feel comfortable in your skin without using FaceTune. Beyond that, for those who are blind to the amount of editing that is performed, it gets the impression that if you are not "perfectly" thin, or your stomach is not toned and flat, then you are not beautiful.
