Good evening everybody, I am very pleased to have the chance to come up here on stage and tell you about some of my aspects on how to achieve the American dream as well as discuss some of the perceptions about the American dream. I am myself a student here at Johns Hopkins University of Baltimore and for those of you that may not know me my name is [NAVN A].

The term American dream was popularized by historian James Truslow Adams in 1931. Adam wrote in his book “the epic of America” life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability of achievement regardless of social status of birth.

The American dream seemed attractive to foreign people faraway, spotting potential and opportunity. Deciding to migrate into that land which soon resulted in a country filled with a bunch of different religions and aspects of life. All these elements soon melted together creating a intergraded country with a dominant culture.

The American dream is a long hub of prosperity as well as a symbol of all the possibilities offered to those willing to put in the hours of work to achieve their dream, this sadly on the brink of disappearance. it is obvious for most that the American dream isn’t as conspicuous as it used to be just some generations ago.
