3D printing: potentiale og samfundsmæssige konsekvenser

Guns, toys, bikes and even organs, 3D printing has surly taken off the past few years and will become more advanced, and a part of our day to day life, in the near future. Yes, you heard right! 3D printed organs are being researched and tested to see if it maybe could a realistic solution, to the problem, that there is not enough donors to donate healthy organs to people in need for example, a new kidney or heart. 3D printed body parts are very likely, to be used in the human body. Doctors or experimenting with things like 3D printed Heart valves, knee cartilage, bone implants, kidney cells and even healing tissue (1). This is called bio printing. Portraits of human faces has also been 3D printed, all drawn by a computer reding some DNA and printing a life like head sculpture, on how the persons DNA would look like

Some people might call it cloning a human being, but it would now more like creating a human, we could maybe face the same criticism as we did with cloning, where people would call it unnatural and not human, but it could help dozens of millions each year and save lives if we could make the parts we need to survive, instead of having to wait and depending on others to supply us with what we need, witch could take days instead of years if not decades to find a match
