Non fiction analysis on Boris Johnson’s speech at the UN
In today’s society, everyone – even kids – has gotten used to cell phones and computers being our go-to for everything. There is no doubt about how great technology is. It can take us to an unknown location, or give us the answer to a question we have been dying to know. However in the middle of all the great things it does for us, it has somehow ruined our society and the problem is only getting worse. This is what Boris Johnson is pointing out in his speech at the UN in September 2019. He believes that technology is great but has the wrong focus. Instead of all the unnecessary applications technology should be used for scientific purposes such as health and medicational problems (ll. 164-165 p. 4).

He has been a Member of Parliament for Uxbridge. Furthermore, he has served as Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.
