School shooting speech

I’ve choose to write about school shootings in general, why shootings occur and how it could get avoided.

School shootings is de?nitely not a new issue. The list of shootings is long and America has dealt with this in many decades. The problem doesn’t really seem to have an end. The shooting “trend” is spreading like wild?re. But where did the system fail?

One of the main issues of how school shootings can actually occur is written in the American constitution. The second amendment gives the individual citizen in America the right to keep and bear arms and lots of people actually depends on the law. Hunters for example, shoot for living. But the second amendment isn’t just doing good. A six year old child got his hand on a ?rearm and managed to kill another student because in most states its legal to buy guns at a private sale where the laws are less strict.

The shooting at Enoch Brown School initiated the trend of school shootings. On the 26th of July, 1764 a group of people shot the headmaster and killed ten children. After that more than 500 school shootings has found place and dozens of students has lost their life. School shooting is getting so normal that some do it for fun, attention or just boredom An example of that is the shooting at the Cleveland Elementary School. The shooter, Brenda Spencer, killed 2 killed and 9 injured. She told a reporter “ I just don’t like mondays. I did this because it’s a way to cheer up the day”
