The movie is about the black man Cecil Gates. We are following him and his family, and how the life was as a black person. We can see how they got treated once, and how hard it was to be black.
The movie starts at a cottonfield, where Cecil is working. His father got killed at the farm, and the main character Cecil was hurt.
Afterwards he became a housenigger, who is a slave inside the house instead of working on the farm. He wanted to leave the farm because he got exploited. He went to the city, and worked at a restaurant. At least he came to a hotel, but the black rights was extreme. He went to Washington DC, where he got a job into The White House. He became a Butler in. In The White House he wanted to give the presidents drinks and food. Cecil's son Louis was a fighter, and fought for the black rights. John F Kennedy was the new president. He had some greats rights for the country, but he got killed and the black rights continued. The last part of the movie is about how Cecile changed the Economy, between the white and black people.
