Cecil Gaines Started out with being a field slave, his father died and his mother got rapped. He wanted a better live so he ran away. He walked into a restaurant to steal some food, but got a job instead. He got a real live in the city where he had a house, two sons, Louis and Charlie, and a lovely wife named Gloria. He went to work everyday, another man at his work got a job offer in the white house, but didn’t take it because he thought he was to old. He gave Cecil the offer and he took it. Now he worked as a butler in the white house, he loved it. He worked for the presidents, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. But at home everything was not perfect, Louis got into some gangs because he was not happy with how the niggers were treated so differently from the white people. He got arrested many times, he fought for his and the other niggers opinions, Cecil was not happy about that. At the same time Charlie, his other son, he choose to help in the war in Vietnam, and died. So Cecil and Gloria had some hard years. One day Cecil got to work and and Ronald’s wife asked him if he wanted to eat dinner with them instead of serving it. He brought Gloria, she had a fancy dress on. But after that Cecil didn’t like being a butler anymore, he felt different about his job. When he was at the dinner, it all came clear to him that he was pleasing a white man every day. One day a black man, Obama, stood up as a president. Cecil and Gloria were hosting a party, to support him. That day they were supposed to go voting, a terrible thing happen, They were getting old Gloria died. Obama won and Cecil was invited to the white house, to greet.
