So the movie opens with Bella moving from Phoenix in Arizona where she had been living with her mother and her mother’s husband to Forks in Washington where her father is living. She’s moving because her mother and her mother’s husband “want to go on the road”.
When Bella goes to the school in Forks for the first time, we see her getting eye contact with Edward Cullen, who is a student at the school, when the school is having lunch break. And then after the break she is having biology where Edward Cullen “of course” is too. He acts very weird in that biology class.
Then fast forward some time. Bella is standing in the parking space and then suddenly a car comes rolling in at a very high speed headed towards Bella. Edward Cullen is standing quite far from Bella but still manages to run in front of Bella and stop the car before it hits Bella. This is where Bella gets very suspicious about Edward.
She starts stalking him and she searches the internet for information, and this is the time where we find out that he might actually be some form of vampire.
Then some back and forth between Bella and Edward happens, where they kind of becomes a couple, and when Bella is then going to Edward’s to meet his family they tell her the story about their family, how they came to be and how it all works for them. And they tell her that they see themselves as “vegetarians” because they don’t eat humans, only animals.
