'Twilight' af Stephenie Meyer, bogresume

I have read the first book in the Twilight saga and it is named Twilight. The main character is named Isabella Swan, or Bella for short. She has just moved from Phoenix to the little town in the state Washington, Forks. T o live with her father, Charlie Swan. She lived in Forks until she was four years old, but when her parents became divorced, she moved with her mom to Arizona. However, now she wanted to spend some time with her dad. Or more precisely, she would not keep her mom away from her new husband. So that is how it starts, when Bella moves to the town she hates. To a town so small that everyone knows each other and her dad knows when the school prom is. But that is just until she starts in school and meets Edward Cullen. Edward is mysterious, always sitting alone with the rest of his family and is not very friendly to her. And of course, Bella feels an immediate attraction to him. One cold day, Bella is on her way to school, the road is covered in ice and when she steppes out of truck, a car is going out of control and heads for her truck, just where she is. Bella does not have a chance. And then out of the blue, Edward appears. Covering her just as the truck is going to hit her. Bella closes her eyes, knowing that it will only end badly, but in some way, they both survive. Once she opens her eyes again, people is all around them, and the only thing she notice, is the fact that Edward is unharmed and the car is having a strange dent, who looked a lot like Edwards shoulder. Bella is up in a tree, how could he so suddenly be there? He was standing on the other side of the parking lot, she had just seen him! After that episode, Bella begins to notice other unusual things about the mysterious boy. He is unbelievably strong. He is reading minds. Oh and of course the fact that he was born in June 1901. However, Bella is not a stupid girl, after a while she does what no human has been able to do, she reveals his secret, their secret. Edward Cullen is not just a simple human like everyone else, he and the rest of the Cullen’s are vampires, but they see themselves as vegetarians; because they (only) survive by drinking animal blood.
