British Empire: Students should be taught colonialism ‘not all good’, say historians

The article is about the education of the British history. The British colonialism has been a debate between different professor’s and politicians. Some Britons believe that they should regret the past and start realizing what they’ve done. While others believe that the British imperialism was a good thing, while looking the other way, and are too reluctant to face the dark sides of the empire. The Britons that believe that the imperialism acts should be regretted, want people to understand the violence and racisms not to mention the catastrophes that were caused by the British colonial. The professors believe that history teaching should always be truthful, and to understand the British history they need to know everything. The British colonial had six shameful aspects. One of them were slavery where they had a huge impact in trading these slaves.

The second one was partition, where they forced more than 14 people to leave their home. Those where the Muslims in India. The third one was the torture, were they had. Beaten, and sexually assaulted, the people from Kenya. The fourth one was famine, where the British colonial had an impact of the 29 million people who died of starvation in India. The fifth one was the concentration camps, where more than 100.000 people were imprisoned, where almost 30.000 people died in the Boer war. The sixth and the last one was the massacre, where people were demonstrating, and killed by Gurkha soldiers in Amritsar in India April 1919.
