Skribentens beskrivelse af This is my EnglandHave you ever thought about the mixed race-britain, cause if you haven't you will definitely get a big understanding about the topic, you would get a lot of reliable information about the most important things about great britain's mixed race, social classes, the rise of the british empire, how they became the biggest empire in the world and what it’s like to be Brithiness. So, where does it all began with the mixed race-britain, it all started out with people coming from the british colonies, which will be included in this text later on. After the end of World War II, it became clear that Britain has became more diverse. The British are longer a homogeneous group of white Anglo-Saxons . And has expanded to 1/10 of different roots around the world, from former British colonies such as India, Pakistan, Kenya and the Caribbean. The biggest reason why such a huge change has occurred is because the British once included 5/8 of the world, since then many from the colonies have emigrated to "the motherland". There was a report from the Commission on the Future of Multi-Ethnic Britain, this report started a discussion in Britain, it shows that many people thinks that Britain should be a society of cultural pluralism.This report really showed that being a British is not the same, like i was for 50 years ago. |
