Letter

9/19/2019 Dear Lena, I had an amazing trip to the USA and now I am gonna tell you a little about it. I woke up at 8:30 and got all my stuff ready for the trip. I was a little nervous when I walked through security and when I looked back I saw my mom crying and wavering. When I got to Copenhagen I went to the gate just to know where it was but then I had to go in a room to talk about where I was going and who I was traveling with, I kind of felt like it was one of those movies where the police interview you with a bright light close to my face, but it wasn't that intense. as I was walking out of Logan airport in Boston I saw the Brannigan family and they had a danish flag and rushed towards me. we drove home towards Nantucket and we ate at chick-fil-a. We had to take a ferry to Nantucket because it is an island. When we got to Nantucket it was late very late but actually I don't know how late but I feel to sleep before I hit the pillow. The next day I was a kind of afraid that I would be awkward, but it wasn't because they were really interested in the Danish culture and me so I just answered the questions and build up the courage to start asking questions my self. The first thing I did on Nantucket was going to the dump, but I got to throw the glass in the big container so it was ok. Later we wanted to do something and there was an event at school where you could ice skate, and I never try ice skating before so I said yeah sure that sound fun despite the fact that I knew that I probably would be sliding around on my butt. So after a little while, I broke my wrist but I didn't know I was broken but it was hurting bad. The next day I visited the walk-in-clinic and they said it was a fracture but it was kind of sad that it befell me so early. The next day Merrick and I were going around the small city of Nantucket, we were at the book shop, souvenir shop…. But the best thing we did was to visit the juice-bar but it is actually an ice cream shop and it is so awesome and it is true to Nantucket. Later we were at the beach with the family I was with’s family, but I could not swim because of my arm. The next day I was going to school but they had a bunch of sommer work they had so I did not go. But on Thursday I went to school and I was shadowing a boy named Andrew. the school was different in the way that you had to go to a different classroom for every new class and they do most of the work on paper and they have a lot of tests and besides that, they have everywhere from 20-60 minutes of homework every day. 1. they had a Danish flag and rushed towards me. 2. I never tried ice skating before. 3. Later we were at the beach with the family of my host family
