The brief story Burying Your Life is written by Harkiran Dhindsa. The main character Rahul is definitely standing in his backyard trying to dig a grave. The soil is very hard therefore he struggles a lot with the hole. As he digs his wife walks back and forth from the house towards the grave. When the grave is complete all of them gather about it. As Rahul sets the box together with the dead cat inside, Tom says goodbye. Rahul watches his wife patting Toms back and gets emotionally touched. Rahul is a normal gentleman with a quiet temper whom lives with his wife and their son Tom working in London. He gets home from work on time at least three times weekly to eat together with his son.
He is a dependable person who appears to be in good contact with his own feelings. As she wants to leave with Tom to stay with her mother. Rahul make an effort to talk her out of it. He is afraid of two things. That Tom is going to stay there for good and that she will get together with her mate again.
He gets incredibly affected by her unfaithfulness; however, he needs to believe her because he wishes their family members to be collectively. Rahul is actually dependable and that's probably why she has been seeing one more guy. Rahul is uninteresting.
