Analyse af 'Culture Clash' i volleyball

In the picture, we see two female volleyball players in the middle of an intense shot on the volleyball field. The two players are divided by the net on the field, in the picture it creates the illusion of a wall between the two women. The woman to the right is wearing revealing volleyball attire and you can see a lot of her bare skin. However, the woman on the left is wearing the contrary to the woman on the right. This woman only has her face revealed, the rest of her body and hair is covered up by her clothes and hijab. I, therefore, think it is safe to assume she is a Muslim woman. The picture portrays a very obvious contrast between the two women. The women represent two different religions and cultures, but that does not stop them from unifying around their sport. Even though the women are different they are still able to have a fair game. This indicates, that besides our differences we as humans are still able to perform equally. No rights or opportunities should be taken away from anyone because they differ from the majority of the population.Sadly there still is segregation between different cultures and religions, people still fail to accept that some have other values than themselves. This is an issue all over the world we see it in ebullient America, but also in peaceful Denmark. However, I still think it is inspiring to see a picture like this. It truly shows that there is a fighting spirit and strength in different cultures. And that we are still able to unite and come together around our common interest without having to take precautions based on each other’s religion and culture.
