When do you think it is okay to call out bad behavior in actions or speech? I think it’s almost always okay to call out bad behavior. If your friend or another person is saying something you don’t like, it’s okay to tell them. But I don’t think you should call them out in front of a lot of people, so they feel shame. I think you should do it in a more discreet way. But online it’s a bit different I think you can always call people out online because they’re already showing their opinion to the whole internet so you kind of sign up to getting positive and negative responses.
How do you decide what ‘bad behaviour’ is? What or who has influenced your opinion? Your friends, your family, your culture, the media, celebrities, social media? Is it a combination of some of these things or is it something else? Bad behavior is very much affected by your tone and the context. I think you can joke about almost everything, but if the person is just trying to be rude and insult you I think it’s bad behavior. This can be anything like saying you look ugly or making some sexist/homophobic/racist comment. Everyone has influenced my opinion, in a small or big way. What I see on TV or my friends and mostly my parents.
