First time Biggie and Tupac met they met at Tupac’s home in 1993. Tupac held a party and specifically told Biggie to come. Tupac and Biggie then hit it off and Biggie began staying at Tupac whenever he was in California and Tupac began visiting Biggie when he was in New York. Tupac began spending time with a man called Haitian Jack, which Biggie warned him about. He was a local gangster with all sorts of connections and he’s the reason Tupac and Madonna met, and briefly dated. One-time Tupac, his road manager and Jack invited a woman to their hotel room in NY, and then allegedly group-raped her. She afterwards called the police and the 3 men were arrested. The police didn’t find any proof of her being raped, but they did find a lot of guns. Tupac then claimed these guns were Biggie’s. During the trail Tupac quickly used his money up, by buying expensive attorneys and then he became broke. A man Little Shawn which was close friends with Biggie and Biggie’s label owner, Puffy offered him 7,000 for a verse on his song. Tupac, in need of money agreed and went to meet him at a hotel. Tupac and two associates of his saw three men walking with them, but they assumed that they were Biggies friend based on their clothes, so he felt safe. When they got to the building Tupac was shot, beaten and robbed. He played dead until the men left and he got in the elevator and met Puffy and Biggie, wounded. Tupac believed that this was more than just a random heist and felt anger from the men in this attack. Tupac’s trail for rape and possession of arms was still going on and he had to go to court again, and so he did. He got sentenced to a year and a half in prison at least and a 3-million-dollar bail. He felt that Biggie had betrayed him and believed him to be the mastermind behind the heist. Suge Knight came to visit Tupac in jail and offered him to become a part of his label and his family. Tupac accepted and proclaimed his anger for Biggie. This is where the beef finally started.
